The word secular was brought into the Constitution in the year 1975. As we are citizens of India, it is our duty to follow the constitution. People of different religions live in India, so India cannot follow any one religion.
But if we go to any Government Offices, Schools, Hospitals, Police Stations, etc then we see many photos of Gods and sometimes also mandirs. If we practice such things, then people of other religions will be hurt.
No State of India can follow any one religion and even the constitution does not allow it. When people impose religion on each other, then there are riots and in the name of religion people are killing their humanity by fighting among themselves. Killing is becoming common among people in the name of religion. So we should stay on secularism by adopting the constitution instead of creating such riots.
