Hijab And Hindutva. The uniform controversy in Karnataka raises many disturbing issues: Majoritarian bullying. Partisan government action. Right to education. And freedom to practice one’s religion. But there are other tricky questions too. What does the Hijab mean for Muslim women? Is wearing it an act of political defiance, personal choice, or patriarchal compulsion? Is Hindutva politics forcing one to defend Muslim conservatism? What is the churn within the Muslim community itself?
There are reforms in Muslim society right now along with whether the hijab is an essential religious practice like the Sikh turban or not, many liberal feminists both Muslims and non Muslims are downplaying the importance of societal reforms related to women’s rights, both Hindu and Muslim. Strident majoritarian communalism prevents Muslim liberals and general public from casting a critical glance at their own society and practices and codification of laws unlike Hindus who counter Hindutva and its supporters.
From the past years, no one is thinking about it and also no colleges have any issue about it, so now what’s the problem. What’s the problem of RSS and BJP. Why they always want to create conflict between peoples by creating a religion terror and making us separate by involving our religion. Hindu Muslim ,Hindu Muslim. Why they were doing all these. I think it’s politics behind all these. If a girl dressed bad and showing their body then you tell that she is a bad girl not dressing properly and showing her body to the world but what’s the problem of you people, why you are oppressing hijab ,as hijab can cover once whole body and protect oneself . I am not getting that what’s the problem of these negative minded people , why they where so against of surrounded peace and United people. They have problem with the hijab or they have problem with the religion of that hijabi girl or they have problem with the girl. Every time why these people target on girls and Muslim. I am not getting what these bhagwa gamchadhari people wants from us. What they wanted us to do. This is not a matter of religion and doing Hindu -Muslim. This RSS and BJP andh bhak were creating a scenario and wanted a Hindu Muslim conflict. Be the change and change your thought first. I support secularism. We have right to religion.
The hijab is an undeniable part of Muslims tradition, culture, and religion. Freedom of choice necessarily precedes most fundamental freedoms, including freedom of religion its rituals and practices. And it is there in the Indian Constitution, that every citizen has the right to practice. It is our right bestowed by the Indian Constitution. But with every right in the Indian Constitution, there are some reasonable restrictions. So considering this there can be reasons for the restriction of any freedom, such as a threat to the sovereignty of India, a threat to India’s security, or the public order is being hampered. Considering all this those who support the practice of wearing hijab say that the hijab is an undeniable part of their culture, tradition, and religion. Thus, there must be a middle way for India to adopt, where non-ostentatious signs of religion can be accepted, and for Muslim girls that would mean only covering their heads with a scarf. Hijab is a form of modesty and modesty is the part of our faith and the people who are attacking on modesty of women they know that this is intolerable which will create disunity and instability in country and this will benefit many evil minded people and numbers Of good people are more in this country and we are in democracy, so just don’t get distracted. Be focus and keep supporting hijab.
Women have had to struggle to reach the level of empowerment they have after a humongous struggle/realignment/pain/bravery and guilt. The society has fought wars and battles over women’s body and to protect her and the family’s honour. Can you just allow us to be? Religion is my private affair with God. One day I can say that I need the belief and rituals to protect me and lead a balanced life. After sometime may not need them anymore and I and only I have the right to give it up. You cannot insist that I believed it before and hence I need to be on the same path or I did not believe it earlier and I cannot go back and find myself in God’s arms again. It’s called GROWING UP. Please try and GROW UP. So, will you men just take your eyes, arms and thoughts about what women should do and should not…. and keep it under a lock and key and throw the key away, please. Thank You.
I am sure Mr. Advani, Mr. Murli Manohar Joshi,Mr Ashok Singhal, Mr. Vajapayee….never thought what a monster they have unleashed in the country because of the Rath Yatra that led to the destruction of a place of worship but a whole revival of the social engineering on the shoulders of unemployed youth becoming their warriors and heckling 1 single girl dressed in a burqa. I hope they sleep well at night and don’t look down from heavens and shudder at what has happened to the society. I think, anything which is unchangeable is against modernity unless you begin to make your faith a second priority. Ambedkar knew this really well. People aren’t just worried, they’re resentful. I for one, resent Nehru for not allowing Jinnah do what he wanted which was Hijrat for all Muslims. Total population exchange. Poison continues to remain. It either goes towards civilizational assimilation or forceful acceptance of a greater civilizational identity. Hijab is a Muslim girl’s right but, it shouldn’t come in as hurdle to their education. Hijab is my choice and to wore it is my right.
HIJAB IS NOT A CAGE FOR US, IT’S OUR PRIDE AND BEAUTY.
YOU LOOKED AT ME AND CALLED ME OPPRESSED SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE WAY I AM DRESSED.
I AM A MUSLIM GIRL, AND HIJAB IS MY DUTY, YOU ARE GETTING MAD JUST CUZ I AM NOT SHOWING MY BEAUTY.
WE MOVE LIKE A QUEEN FULLY CLOTHED NOT LIKE A SLAVE IN NEED OF CLOTHES.
IN EYES OF ALLAH, MORE VALUABLE THAN A PEARL IS A FULLY DRESSED HIJABI.
IT’S NOT A CULTURE TO DRESS THIS WAY, IT’S A LAW FROM ALLAH THAT I OBEY.
SO TAKE YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM MY HIJAB, BECAUSE DECIDING MY LIFE IS NOT YOUR JOB.
